My 4th of July Resolution
Ok, I am very behind on my blogging and further behind I get frustrated with myself :)
I could just begin where I am not, but that is so sad, since I have had some wonderful days with so many couples.
So here is my plan, In the next couple of weeks, I am going to try and catch up. Mind you some of these brides are from a long time ago, but their stories are wonderful. Check in daily :)
Thanks for your patience :)
Laura

Off to Niagra
I will be out of town from March 14th - 20th. I will post and be available on Monday :)
Have a great week. I think they are calling for snow there and so, that will be fun since it has been 70 degrees here ;P

My web designer is great. Brian at Skooks He designed my site and has made my online kart. He has this little chat thing on his site that works very much like AIM or other instant messengers only there is no softwear to download. If you have a question, you can come to my site, click on the button which will tell you if I am online or not and then I can chat with you. I am very excited about this. Feel free to contact me :) I look forward to talking with you soon :)

Reprints from online galleries
I thought I should post something on this. I am trying to figure out how to put this on the actual online gallery when you order. I should have a meeting with my web designer this week and have that in place, but in case not and for now, reprint orders can take up to 6 weeks to receive.
I know that seems like a long time and I wish I could promise them sooner, but I find that I have to spin many pots at one time , between processing weddings, engaement and portraits, add to that albums and then meetings with clients, not to mention meeting the needs of my familyand my time is short. I do have a office assitant who takes care of my paper work but still have a hard time entrusting the images that I take to anyone other than myself.
Usually it is less than 6 weeks, but I would rather be early than late :)

Watershed ( The music on my website)

I know it has been a while since I have written. I really do plan on making this an almost daily event.
I get alot of response on my website about the music. I was incredibly blessed with the fact that there was a group in our church who started a band. It was very cool that the members ranged from ages 16-25. Very neat guys!
The link on my wedding site at this time links to a page that says coming Feb 2005. Well, here it is a year later and still no site and that is because the band is no longer together. No bitterness or drama, just guys at different stages in life and moing on. I think 2 are married now and 2 are off to college and it was just not feasible for them to stay together as gifted as they are.
The church that they were birthed out of still offers there CD and I am sure could sell you a copy of the full CD to you if you are at all interested.
Here is their contact information
St Pauls United Methodist Church
phone (410)546-9750
mail@stpaulshebron.org
Be sure to tell them I sent you :) I think the CD's are $12 for 2 for $20.00
They truly are great guys and I am sad they are no longer together. I am so thankful they allowed me to use their wonderful music :)

I am terrible at this blogging thing :)
Ok, I have gotten through all three weddings of that weekend. I am so indecisive about what images to show. There are so many that make a day complete. How do you limit it to 10 or 15, LOL!
Anyhoo, Courtney, yours are below coming :) It was survivor night, so I got them up late last night :) I am so pleased how they turned out and hope you are too. You were such a beautiful bride inside and out!
I have one more wedding to add, but that will have to wait. I have a wedding today, but will be back as soon as I finish a whole wedding :)

New Kart
I am excited to announce that In His Grace now has a new shopping cart (Kart). This new Skooks Kart is going to really be a good thing for my clients when ordering and veiwing images online, as you can choose borders as well as whether you would like to change a color photo to B&W. Brides and Grooms will have the ability to use their print credits by putting in their promotion code. Soon couples will also be able to add images to their albums.
I will be offering a friends and family code that the couple can give out that would give friends and family members a 25% discount on any order over $50.00 for the 1st month after the 1st addition images are up online.
In the future Brides will be able to order their albums and also have a registry for photography items they may want. So this is very exciting.
Currently, I am in the process of moving all the old cart weddings to the new Kart, so you may notice things a bit mixed up for the next couple of weeks. The new Kart address will be different from the old, so if you find that there is no longer a page for what used to be the address, that is why. You can find the new address on my site in the client area. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Photographers & Katrina
The devastation from Katrina has touched the lives of many. There are many organizations to donate to. Photographers in these areas are also hurting. Many of the leading wedding photography industries have started P.H.O.T.O to help those who have lost equiptment, studios, and many time their livelihood. My family has donated elsewhere as well, but my heart does go out to all the photographers who have lost alot due to Katrina. If you are interested in donating to Katrina, you may click HERE.

Meet Sarah
Sarah is my new assitant. She moved her from Kentucky and is not only my assitant at weddings but is also my office assitant. She may be adding her perspective on weddings as well in the future. She is a great addition to In His Grace Photography. She keeps me organized and her attention detail is incredible :) I have found if she does not have McDonalds food on a regular basis that she is miserable, so I try to treat her atleast once a week :)

I Can Blog
This is a new adventure for me that I am excited about when in comes to remaining in contact with all my clients and potential clients and alike.
There are so many times I come back from a wedding and want to pass along something that I have learned or something that may be helpful for future brides to prevent. Time goes on and unless the topic is broached, that knowledge is never passed on :) I hope blogging will be helpful to inform you of some of the things that I have learned and am learning.
I am also enthusiastic about being able to share a small sample from recent events and so this blog will be the 1st place to get a glimps of present photo ops :)
The other reason I really like the oportunity to blog, is that you can get to know me, which will help you to decide if I am the right photographer for you. Personality does play a part in choosing your photographer and it is important in a photographer/ client relationship that your personalities mesh.
I look forward to the many days of blogging. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 410 714 0000 or email me at laura@inhisgracephotography.com
