The Renaissance Festival Contest
Ok, I almost did not put this in because it is a bit goofy as this was not a professional contest, but I did have fun :)
In October on my 1 weekend off, our family went to the Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, MD. We had wanted go for years. I believe the last time we went was when our daughter Hannah was 2 weeks old, and that was goodness, 7 years ago.
We get there and while my wonderful hubby, Eric was getting our tickets, I saw a sign that said they were having a photo contest, and guess what? I happened to have my camera :) It was not hard to get into the whole photo taking mode even on my weekend off :) The colors and the composition and background was Awesome! The one shot I wanted to get, I did not and that was a Pirate taking a big bite of a Turkey Leg.
Anyway, I won 1st prize in the B & W contest. It is not really a big deal, but there was a cash prize as well as tickets to the Festival next year, so maybe I will to get that shot of the Turkey Leg after all :) Anyway, here is the prize winner. There are others I probably would have picked, but isn't tha always the case :)

Women's View Magazine
A Couple of weeks ago, I got the opportunity to shoot for Women's View Magazine They wanted a segment that would involve Spring and Gardening for their March/April Issue. In February it is a bit hard to find flowers that are blooming in a outside garden and so we chose to go the next best route, a green house.
My models were incredible gracious and wonderful to shoot. What can be better than a Grandma with her grandson :) Here is the image to be featured on the Cover of the the Magazine that will be coming out very soon.

You can see the full shoot HERE

New Publications and stuff :)
I have to say it is an awesome thing to to have the opportunity to be recognized, other than customer satisfaction, that ranks up there pretty high for me. It is always good to get recognized for something that I LOVE to do :) I hope this does not come across as bragging. I am still a little overwhelmed and truly thankful. I just wanted to share in my joy and celebration of blessings of my business.
Here is the latest buzz. Some of this is old news, but this is the first chance I have had to tell you all about it :)
I placed 4th in the Food and Drink catagory and 5th in the Details catagory in the Fall WPJA competition
I it very humbling to be ranked with the top photographers around the world!!!

The December issue of the Philly Knot Magazine featured my 1st Real Wedding which told Adam and Amy's story.

In January I Marlin and Nichole were featured as a Real Couple in The MD/DC/VA issue of the Knot. I think I mentioned them before when I found out about it. Such a wonderful couple!!!!

The Bridal Extravaganza was this past January 15th. I did a lot of of the promo stuff for them which was soooo much fun. Anyway as part of the promo, the local magazine featured my work on the cover of their I Do magazine.

I am very excited about this, and looking forward to what the future holds :)
