Dogs and Wedding Dresses, What a Match!

Tina and JP brought their dogs as well. How fun was this shoot I have to say these two were very well behaved and quite the doggie models!

Because this was an early morning shoot, out of town, I brought my girls and they picked Tina a buttercup bouquet. I actually think it is very pretty.

Trash the Dress Meets Equestrian Style!

I know not everyone is into the whole Trash the Dress Scene, but you have to be able to appreciate those who choose to have some fun after the wedding day. This was not actually Tina’s wedding dress, she had bought it and decided to get another so, this lovely gown was sitting just waiting to be used. I have to say as far as trashing the dress goes, this dress was trashed. Within minutes it was soiled and the horse actually stepped on it and ripped it. With water trash the dress sessions the dresses actually sometimes came out cleaner then before they trashed it.

About the couple, Tina and JP were married 2 years ago in April, So what a fun anniversary session to do I knew they were a fun couple when they showed up for their engagement session with a motorcycle! They had a church ceremony in Cambridge, MD and their reception was at The Oaks in Royal Oak, MD. They had the most amazing band and fun flowers by The City Florist

This session was such fun! We had a few obstacles to overcome since neither of the horses had ever seen a big white flouncy wedding dress. After some time, they did adjust There were so many amazing shots and some outtakes too, so stay tuned, this will be a three part series

Keri and Mike Take the Plunge!

I am a bit behind on my blogging of weddings but am trying to get caught up. Keri and Mike were such a fun couple. It was a joy to photograph their wedding day. The day started out a bit stressful because it rained, but the Hyatt is awesome about accommodating and while their wedding was supposed to be on lawn, It was equally as beautiful in the Regatta Pavillion. The sun eventually came out and Keri and Mike celebrated their wedding by taking the plunge in the pool. So fun. I too got wet, but it was totally worth it

Happy Anniversary Todd and Ashley!!!!

This was a very special wedding to photograph. I have know Todd since he was a kid and Ashley since she was in high school. These two were high school sweethearts, broke up and reconnected after college. They truly are like family. Not only was it a special blessing to be a part of their wedding, but all 4 of our children were in the wedding and my husband married them. It made for a very busy day for a mom and photographer.

Todd and Ashley, you know how special you are to our family! We love you very much and are so happy for you! Congratulations on the 1st year of many!

I cannot believe it has been a year. Karey and Chris were an amazing couple whose love for travel was inspiring. The fact that they said they loved each other for the first time while brushing their teeth just shows you how cool this couple is. Corey and Shawn’s Beach Adventure!

I had not met either Corey or Shawn before their wedding day. It did not seem to matter because there was an instant connection. Corey was one of the most laid back brides. Nothing was rushed and even when one of the bridesmaid flowers were not there, Corey never stressed. She just enjoyed her day. We came up with a plan to cut our own bouquet. Mayumi came through and brought the missing bouquet just in time

The day went great. We had a little thunderstorm and there was a Tornado warning, but other than that, an amazing day! Corey had an amazing eye for the wedding details.

This was the sweetest couple. Not long after they hired me, Christine found out her mom had pancreatic cancer. The road was rough but her Mom was able to enjoy her daughter’s wedding. She fought a good fight but passed away in September. She was one of the most encouraging and inspirational women I have ever met. You can read more about her on her Blog

So and Jeff Trash the Dress Swamp Style

So who says you have to go out of the country or to a beachy resort to Trash your Dress. Now mind you, this dress was trashed even before the day of trashing as So’s cute little Shih Tzu, Cookie decided to pee on the dress before the ceremony. All was well even so So decide to do the around town trash the dress, starting at the Silo, exercising in the gym, lounging in a creek and finally taking a dip in the swamp. It was great Fun and I was happy to hear the dress actually came clean after an afternoon of yuckiness

It is so much fun to work with couples who are comfortable in their own skin! Darlene and Rob, thank you for being who you are. It was such a fun day and you made me laugh.
